Liam is a percussion teacher on the central coast that has instructed in private and group settings for several years. He has experience
teaching Rock, Jazz, Latin, R&B and Reggae style rhythms on the drum set. Students from beginning to advanced levels can learn a lot from his hands-on motivational approach by focusing on their needs and desires—whether they want to learn their favorite songs or the basics.

Brett Malta

Brett has been teaching brass for many years and graduated with a degree in Music from Cal Poly San Luis
Obispo. He strives to help students have strong fundamentals of brass playing and music making. His primary instrument is trombone and tuba, but teaches trumpet, trombone, euphonium and tuba. Brett has started many students on brass as well as older students and adults. You can see Brett perform in many local orchestras and Jazz groups, as well as his brass band, Brass Mash. Brett teaches
Dr. Alba Cancel

Dr. Alba Cancél teaches VOICE lessons (classical singing, musical theatre, or pop music). Her believe is that each student possesses a
unique instrument, mentality and experiences, and therefore she tailors her lessons to each individual student. She embraces the distinct needs of the students and their personal goals, directing a specific and defined program that both encourages the student and stretches their horizons. She places a strong emphasis on healthy vocal practice, breath management, posture/alignment and tone production along with effective learning/practice strategies and memorization skills. She holds a doctorate degree in voice performance from the University of Missouri Kansas City, a master's degree in voice performance and vocal literature from the University of Illinois and a BM in music from the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico. She teaches in Spanish or English!
Julian Darpino

Julian teaches PIANO, and specializes in classical and jazz theory and composition. He is currently a choral
accompanist at St. William’s in Atascadero, and actively composes scores for various instrumental ensembles. He carries a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance, a Master of Arts degree in Music Theory and Composition, and served as studio assistant and apprentice to composer John Luther Adams. Julian enjoys sharing a wide range of musical interests and experience with his students, and believes that every student is on a unique musical path that should be recognized and cultivated by the teacher.
Nathaniel Wallace

Nathaniel teaches PIANO & VOICE. Trained classically, Nate now plays keyboard in the rock/reggae band "Nada Rasta". He love teaching children but he takes students of all ages. he believes that if music is fun enough, the students will actually WANT to practice.
Robyn Saxer

Robyn teaches PIANO, GUITAR, UKULELE and VOICE. She was raised in a musical family and has a
lifetime of performance experience; she holds a B.A. in Drama from UC Irvine and graduated with Honors in Musical Theatre. With over 10 years of experience in education, Robyn also mentors children and youth ages 3-18 with the local educational organization Outside Now, teaching music at Nature Academy (high school) and at the performing arts program Nature Storytellers. Classically trained, she plays in a variety of musical styles and enjoys inspiring creative exploration and play in music making, especially with younger students. She plays (vocals, piano, ukulele) with the local band Zen Mountain Poets, and has performed and recorded with the Red Willows .

One of the hottest teachers on the Central Coast, Jacob teaches GUITAR, BASS &UKULELE. His music styles
include Rock, Blues, Classical, Jazz, Metal, Funk and Worldbeat. We are proud to have Jacob leading out teen guitar class method program. While keeping the pules of current music trends, he makes learning fun by incorporating contemporary music styles with a commitment to teaching the basics. Available for both private & group classes, Jacob teaches youth, teens, & adults.
